Nita hails from Jorebungalow, Darjeeling. At a very tender age Nita lost her father who was a soul bread owner of the family. After Nita’s father’s death her mother had no alternative but to take up the job of a porter. Few rupees which she earn was not sufficient to run the household and send daughters to school.
