Sarmit Lepcha
Sharmit
hails from a remote village Rong Lee, Rongong Basti under Pedong in Kalimpong
sub division.. Her father Sonam Tshering Lepcha and her mother Ms Jermit Lepcha
are landless farmers and work on others field to earn a living. With a mere
income working on other’s land it is very difficult for Sharmit’s parents to
give quality education to Sharmit and her two sisters and one brother. MARG has stepped forward in igniting smile of
Sharmit by helping her in her education. Presently she is in class nine in St
Georges High Secondary School, Pedong Kalimpong.
