Upen Chettri (Sponsor Mr. Sushil Lepcha, Kolkata)
Upen Chettri hails from the lovely Himalayan region of Darjeeling. At a very tender age Upen lost his father Mr. Rab Bahadur Chettri who was the only bread earning member in his family. It was difficulty for Upen’s mother to take care of Upen and his brother hence she took up the job of a house maid. With a mere salary of few hundred it was very difficult for her to run the house and send her son’s to school. MARG has stepped in and has ignited a smile in Upen’s family since he was in class six. Presently he is in class nine.
