Upen Chettri (Sponsor Mr. Percy Young, New Delhi)

 

upenUpen Chettri is 13 years old and hails from the lovely Himalayan region of Darjeeling. At a very tender age Upen lost his father Mr. Rab Bahadur Chettri who was the only bread earning member in the family. It was difficulty for Upen’s mother to take care of Upen and his brother hence she took up the job of a house maid. With a mere salary of few hundred it was very difficult for her to run the house and send her son’s to school. MARG has stepped in and has ignited a smile in Upen’s family. Presently he is in class six and is going to TurnBull High School Darjeeling.
